Photography Locations

We love using a location that is specific to your unique story because your memories at a location sets you at ease. This allows us to capture your Best You! To help in the decision process here are a few locations that are our ‘go to’ for photo sessions.

Ancil Hoffman Park

6700 Tarshes Dr
Carmichael, CA 95608‎
Follow Tarshes around to the river side parking lot and walk through the park to the river.
I like the beach edge. It makes for a great backdrop with reflections. My favorite part about this location is the tree with it’s many roots exposed.

Capitol State Park

Corner of L and 15th
Sacramento, CA 95608‎
Parking can be found along L Street.
The Rose Gardens are a perfect start as we make our way down to the capitol to get a few shots on the stairs. I usually stop to take a few pictures on the walking paths lined with trees. The capitol in the backgrounds is always fun. The many city benches make it easy to find one to pose on.

Old Town Sacramento

1001 Front St
Sacramento, CA 95814
Meet across the street in front of the train station where the fun begins on the trains as we work are way to a brick wall by the train museum. There are so many spots to use as back drops as you walk through the grass park, across the street to stairs that lead down to a perfect shaded location. We then walk to the Tower Bridge (golden) and capture a few shots along the dock and waters edge creating classic Sacramento iconic photos.

Entrance To Whitney Oaks

2938 Cameron Dr Rocklin, CA 95765
This is my favorite place to take pictures in the fall.  The colors are magical around October – November!    The flowers on the trees bloom white around the end of March.  The white flowers add so much to engagement or wedding photos.  Just about all year long you will find this location perfect for a great photo shoot.

Granite Bay Golf Course

9605 Wexford Cir
Granite Bay, CA 95746
I like to go to this development right before the golf course to capture a few fountains in the background and a weeping willow tree. If the guard of the development is willing, I like to go into the housing development to take pictures in the grounds around the club house. There is a pond with beautiful foliage surrounding it.

 Old Town Folsom

Lake Natoma Inn
702 Gold Lake Dr
Folsom, CA 95630
This address takes you to the parking lot of  Lake Natoma Inn just walking distance from the American river.  There are various areas to stop and get that great shot.  We can also walk up the hill to the Folsom Historic Museum to grab a few shots on a train or on the street of Old Town Folsom.

Royer Park

110 Park Drive
Roseville, CA 95678
I especially like the bridge at this location and the river access. It is a few blocks from old town Roseville where there are many interesting brick backdrops.

Lincoln Wetlands

770 Westview Dr, Lincoln, CA 95648
Park By Twin Bridges Middle School and take a bit of a walk to get to a narrow field of poppies in May. I like to walk a little farther to a larger open field with large beautiful oak trees and a pond with ducks.

Old Auburn

Placer County Superior Court – Historic Auburn Courthouse | 101 Maple St, Auburn, CA 95603
This is one of many spots in Old Auburn I love to shoot. I love the columns and stairs and textured backgrounds at the Court House. Another fun spot is at Hershel Young Park | 103 Sacramento St, Auburn, CA 95603. You can get some great brick backgrounds with ivy and archways. It is a small area right next to Bistro 103.

Folsom Lake SRA, Granite Bay Activity Center

Get a few shots along the shoreline of Folsom Lake as the sunsets. The colors are perfect for reflections and that magic hour. The rocks are great to pose on as well. This is one of my favorites for family shoots. The kids love the water and smile naturally creating the right environment for those authentic shots

Few and Far Mural ~ 24th and S Alley

This is the perfect location for that burst of color and city feel. It is ideal when the sun is setting, the colors create magic in the background. It is off the beaten path so there is little foot or car traffic. Parking is also easy on 24th street.
